BOOKCASES AREN'T JUST FOR BOOKS

I CAME ACROSS THIS BOOKSHELF THE OTHER
DAY WERE ELSE BUT AT THE UNIQUE THRIFT STORE
AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT IT WAS MARKED $2.99
IT WAS IN ROUGH SHAPE BUT IT WAS ALL
WOOD AND HAD A VERY RUSTIC LOOK TO IT.
I ALSO THOUGHT THE COLOR GAVE IT A UNIQUE
FARM LOOK TO IT. I ENVISIONED IT
IN MY GUEST BATHROOM FOR TOWEL
STORAGE.

THE BEFORE
IT HAD SOMETHING STICKY ALL
OVER IT AND THE TOP HAD A STICKER DOWN
THE CENTER OF IT

AND MY AFTER AND A NEW PURPOSE
FOR THIS PIECE...

I LOVE HOW THE DISTRESSING TURNED OUT
I KEPT SOME OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT AND
WENT OVER IT WITH A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT GREEN.
I WANTED IT TO HAVE THAT WORN FARM LOOK.

I PUT IT RIGHT IN THE BATHROOM
UNDER A WINDOW AND ITS THE
EXACT PIECE I ENVISIONED IT TO BE

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

  16. Oh my goodness, I love that color! When my hubby and I purchased our cabin fixer-upper, it came with an old store counter. The counter top is this color, and now everywhere I shop I see this color in cute things I can't pass up. Love your repurposed "bookshelf"!
