I LOVE OLD DOORS AND HERE ARE A
COUPLE THAT INSPIRED ME~
I LOVE THE COLORS IN THESE DOORS.
THIS IS WHAT I STARTED WITH
I WANTED MY DOOR TO SERVE MORE AS A PIECE OF ART AS I THOUGHT
IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL
IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL
I DID ATTACH A BASKET WHICH YOU WILL SEE I PAINTED IT TO GO WITH THE DOOR.
I THINK THIS IS ACTUALLY A FLOWER BASKET.
I ALSO DECORATED MY DOOR WITH A KNOCKER,
AN ANTIQUE DOOR KNOB AND A DOOR KNOB PLATE.
THE DOOR RESIDES IN MY BEDROOM BESIDE MY
NIGHT STAND. I DECIDED I WOULD USE
IT TO HOLD BOOKS!
HERE IS MY BEAUTIFUL DOOR AFTER...
VERY HARD TO GET A PICTURE INDOORS AND OF A DOOR THAT
REACHES YOUR CEILING!
NOW I WANTED IT TO HOLD BOOKS AND JUST BE BEAUTIFUL!
BUT IT COULD HOLD JUST ABOUT ANYTHING.
MAYBE EVEN A STARFISH COLLECTION
I HOPE YOU LIKE WHAT
I DID WITH MY
DOOR..
I LOVE MAKING ART OUT OF THINGS THAT
YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN THINK OF IN THAT WAY.
It turned out beautiful, love the color and how huge the door is, great job!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love that you put vintage hardware on it as well!

ReplyDeleteI actually painted this piece and then dry-brushed the highlighted color on it in places, also sanded it
Deletefor the distressed look!
