CHALK IT UP!

THIS IS A PROJECT THAT
I HAD A LOT OF FUN PUTTING
TOGETHER...

THIS IS WHAT I STARTED
WITH...

NOT SURE WHAT IS WAS
MAYBE A MIRROR. FOR
4.99 I COULD'NT LEAVE WITHOUT
IT...

A LITTLE CHALKBOARD SPRAY PAINT
AND SOME GREEN PAINT AND
HARDWARE AND THIS IS WHAT I
ENDED UP WITH...

I'M NOT THE GREATEST ARTIST
BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FUN
THING TO DRAW ON THE CHALK
BOARD THAT WENT WITH THE
LILAC BUSH I HUNG IT IN TO
TAKE THE PICTURES...

ADDED AN OLD FURNITURE PULL
TO HOLD THE CHALK...

AND A WROUGHT IRON
PIECE I TOOK FROM A
POT RACK, THE POT RACK
IT'S SELF I WILL BE USING FOR
A FUTURE PROJECT.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT
A QUICK EASY JOB YOU
CAN DO TO HAVE A CUSTOM
PIECE FOR YUR HOME OFFICE,
OR WHEREVER YOU CHOOSE TO
PUT IT.

HOPE YOU LIKE IT..

  18. what a cool frame to find for a chalkboard! I have been making them too and using those same cool looking drawer pulls for chalk as well. I don't think it's that easy to draw with chalk and your drawing doesn't even look bad at all!

  23. I love your chalkboard!! I have one I want to make that looks so much like it. I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question, but do you just use the chalkboard paint right on the paper background?? I have been waiting to do mine because I wasn't sure what to use for the paint :/...thanks so much in advance!

    1. Thank you Jeanne, the background was actually wood and i sprayed the chalkboard spray paint right directly on the wood.

  27. I'm a new linky follower :)

Anyway, had a huge comment typed out and it disappeared. I just picked up a very similar shaped item at a flea market two weeks ago for $5. It definitely was a mirror. I know this because it broke just before I bought it! I wanted it for the frame anyway, so it was all good. My plans for it also include making it a chalkboard, but i am going to have to steal your chalk holder idea. much better than what I had planned.
