I HAVE TO ADMIT I DO NOT BELONG IN A KITCHEN
I AM NOT A COOK,
OR A BAKER BY ANY MEANS!
I CAN DO THE BASIC'S BUT THAT'S
ABOUT IT. BUT I'VE BEEN SEEING SOME DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF
PRETZELS ON PINTEREST AND I WAS
INTERESTED IN TRYING TO MAKE THEM.
I ADAPTED ALL THE RECIPE'S INTO
MY OWN VERSION AND THIS IS
WHAT I CAME UP WITH....
LOVE HOW THESE TURNED OUT AND
THEY WERE PRETTY EZ EVEN
FOR ME....
I USED DARK CHOCOLATE AND
PEANUT BUTTER CHIPS
THE DARK CHOCOLATE SEEMED TO
GO ALOT FARTHER AND WAS EASIER TO
WORK WITH.
I POURED THE WHOLE BAG INTO A BOWL AND NUKED IT FOR ABOUT 40 SECONDS
WHEN I TOOK IT OUT THERE WERE STILL SOME CHIPS AND I STIRRED IT AND THEY ALL MELTED. - I DIDN'T
WANT TO OVER NUKE.
THEN I DIPPED THE PRETZEL RODS -
AND YOU CAN DIP THEM AS MUCH OR
AS LITTLE AS YOU WANT. I USED A
RUBBER SPATULA TO TAKE OFF THE EXCESS, THIS MAKES THEM EASIER TO
ROLL IN THE SPRINKLES.
THE SPRINKLES I PUT ON A PIECE OF
FOIL AND BE SURE WHEN YOUR PRESSING THE PRETZELS ONTO THE SPRINKLES THAT YOUR CONSTANTLY HITTING SPRINKLES OR THE CHOCOLATE WILL GET ON THE FOIL AND MAKE A MESS. AND THIS WAY THEY WON'T STICK TO THE FOIL WHEN YOU PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE.
I THEN PLACED THEM ON A COOKIE TRAY AND PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE AND THE FREEZER AS I HAD ALOT. AFTER ABOUT 20 MIN. THEY SHOULD BE
HARD ENOUGH TO EITHER WRAP IN
CELLOPHANE WRAPPERS WHICH I FOUND AT WALMART OR STORE IN A TUPPERWARE CONTAINER IN THE FRIDGE.
AFTER THE SPRINKLES I WENT CRAZY,
THE SPRINKLES DIDN'T GO TO FAR
SO I CRUSHED UP OREO'S {NOT THE CENTER PART} WITH
THE BACK OF A WOODEN SPOON AND
ROLLED THE PEANUT DIPPED PRETZELS IN THOSE. I CRUSHED UP
WALNUTS, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES,
VANILLA OREOS, AND I ALSO LEFT
SOME PLAIN CHOCOLATE!
I WANTED TO USE EVERYTHING I COULD
THINK OF, IT WAS GREAT!
THEY WERE A HIT! EVERYBODY LOVED
THEM AND THEY WERE ALOT OF FUN TO
MAKE. THESE ARE DEFINITELY
A GREAT PARTY PLEASER!
GIVE THEM A TRY!
DON'T THEY LOOK DELICIOUS!
NOTHING like a combo of salty and sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteOh I definitely need to make some of these. How fun. Thanks so much for the recipe and the idea. Thanks also for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
