I SAVED A PIER 1 MIRROR

"COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE...."

i was very happy when i found this mirror in the thrift store i already had visions of what i was going to do...

and the price at $6.96 was great

STICKER STILL ON THE BACK FOR $90 DOLLARS!!

these are the before pictures:

WAS A VERY DINGY COLOR AND ALL THE CORNERS WERE SEPARATED AND
COMING APART. I DIDN'T LIKE THE LOOK OF IT AND I DON'T THINK I WOULD
HAVE EVEN IF IT WAS NEW.

WELL I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THE WAY THIS TURNED OUT.. VERY RUSTIC AND DISTRESSED.
AND I LOVE THE WAY THE ORIGINAL COLORS CAME
THROUGH WHEN I RUFFED IT UP WITH SANDPAPER..

THE AFTER:

I TOOK ALOT OF AFTER PICTURES IN DIFFERENT
LIGHTING SO YOU COULD REALLY SEE THE
DETAIL OF THIS PIECE. THE CARVING IS
BEAUTIFUL..

ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PROJECTS NOW I HOPE YOU LIKE IT..

  2. oh yummmm, this is BEAUTIFUL, for many reasons, the price, yes, the color, YES, and the pattern, is simply awesome now, that all those different colors are not distracting my eyes.

You sure did save this mirror, gosh I want it. :)

Would you link this up to **Amaze me August**, I just have to have it, on there. :)

  11. How fun! My daughter has that exact same mirror and she bought it at Pier One because she LOVED all the bright colors. It looks fantastic in her front room- its just her. I find it fascinating how different we all are. If you think about it, how boring it would be if we all liked the same things!

  13. Hi, I just purchased this same mirror at a yard sale and was wondering how the heck did you hang yours as it is so darn heavy? Am kind of worried that my plaster walls wont hold...any suggestions other than finding a stud...? is there a better way to hang this mirror that might distribute the weight of it?

    TIA-jo
