AND WE HAVE BASICALLY RENOVATED THE WHOLE HOUSE.ONE OF YOUR PROJECTS WAS THE
DOWNSTAIRS HALF BATH. NEXT TO THE HALF BATH
WAS A LAUNDRY ROOM WHICH CONSISTED
OF A SLOP SINK, A WASHER AND DRYER,
A FURNACE, AND A WATER HEATER.
THERE WAS A SMALL HALL CONNECTING THE
LAUNDRY AND THE BATHROOM. THIS HALLWAY
HAD A DOOR WHICH LED TO THE GARAGE.
WE BUILT A CUBBY OUT INTO THE GARAGE
IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM AND MOVED THE NEW STACKABLE WASHER AND DRYER INTO IT. THIS ENTAILED RIPPING UP THE FLOOR AS WE ARE
ON A SLAB AND THE PIPES HAD TO BE RAN
ACCROSS THE ROOM.WE DID NOT DO THE
PLUMBING. WE SEALED UP THE DOOR LEADING
OUT TO THE GARAGE AND WE INCORPORATED THE HALL INTO THE BATHROOM AND ADDED A SHOWER
IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM. THIS IS NOW ONE BIG BATHROOM. WE INSTALLED A DOOR AS THERE WAS NOT ONE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE HALL AND WE CLOSED UP THE FURNACE AND WATER HEATER
WITH A WALL AND A DOOR.
WE DID MOST OF THE WORK OURSELVES, WE
DIDN'T PLAN IT THAT WAY BUT
WE KEPT SEEING THINGS THAT WERE BEING DONE
WRONG!!!
THE LAST STRAW WAS THE TILE IN THE
SHOWER, THE CARPENTER INSTALLED IT
AND AFTER HE LEFT FOR THE DAY I
WENT IN TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT, THE
TILE WAS CROOKED AND NOT INSTALLED RIGHT.
I WAS IN SHOCK!!!
I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH MY FIANCE AS I
WAS RIPPING DOWN THE TILE. THANKFUL THAT
THE TILE WAS STILL PLIABLE...
AS DONALD TRUMP WOULD SAY
YOUR FIRED....
I TOOK THE TASK ON OF THE TILE WORK IN
THE SHOWER AND IT TURNED OUT GREAT. BELIEVE
ME I HAD VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE IN
THIS DEPARTMENT. BUT I TOOK MY TIME
AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS LEVEL..

I MADE THE BASKET SHELF NEXT TO THE WASHER AND DRYER FROM A CHEAP WHITE
LAMINATE SHELF UNIT I FOUND AT THE THRIFT STORE FOR 2.99. JUST PAINTED
IT AND ADDED THE WICKER BASKETS..
WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE
BATHROOM. I JUST HAVE TO PUT A COAT
OF PAINT ON THE DOORS BUT IM NOT SURE
WHAT COLOR YET...
HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE POST !!!

Wow! What a huge undertaking! We renovated our tiny master bath down to the studs, and that was really hard work. I can't even imagine a space that size! You guys did a fabulous job, everything looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow, love it! We are hoping to get a new stackable washer/dryer soon and I love yours!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me girl, that looks incredible. Where did you get your floor tile from, it looks almost exactly like what I have in my kitchen, (from lowes). Also the paint color is making me want my yellow, mustardy wlls back, that's how I had my kitchen for the longest time, I loved the contrast with the brick tiles.
ReplyDeleteSimply everything turned out awesome. !!!
AGain, PLEASE link up to **AMaze me August** ANYTIME, I kinda want this too, he he.
