HAVE A CHANCE TO GET ALOT DONE BUT I DID
FINISH A TABLE PROJECT THAT I HAD
STARTED AT THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER!
I STARTED OUT WITH TWO TABLES WHICH I
DECIDED I WOULD MIX AND MATCH AND
END UP WITH MY DREAM PIECE.
YOU REMEMBER THOSE OLD MIX AND
MATCH GAMES YOU PLAYED WHEN YOU
WERE A KID.
SO HERE IS WHAT I STARTED WITH
AN OLD OUTDOOR SLATE TABLE THAT THE
SLATE WAS BREAKING SO I HELPED
IT ALONG...
THE WROUGHT IRON LEGS WERE STILL IN
GREAT CONDITION SO I SPRAY PAINTED
THEM TO FRESHEN THEM UP.
THEN I FOUND THIS OLD COFFEE TABLE AT
THE THRIFT SHOP FOR $5
I LOVE THE WOOD ROUND TOP AND KNEW I WAS
GOING TO USE IT FOR THIS PROJECT.
SO I TOOK OFF THE LEGS AND SANDED THE
TOP UNTIL IT WAS BARE! I THEN
APPLIED A POLY SHADE VARNISH WITH THE
STAIN AND VARNISH IN ONE AND
A STAR WAS BORN...
I THINK I WILL NAME HER
MISS MIX & MATCH!
MISS MIX & MATCH!
IF YOU NOTICED THE BENCH I HAVE WITH
THE TABLE ITS BECAUSE IT GOES WITH
THE CHAIRS I HAD REDONE
THE CURB. I FINALLY GOT THAT DONE
AS WELL.
HOPE YOU LIKE HER SHE WILL RESIDE UNDER
MY GAZEBO ON MY BACK PATIO..
That is such a great idea! And that worked really well that they fit together so nicely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And a perfect fit!
ReplyDeleteWhat great thinking on your part! You did a fantastic job! I love your style, girl!

PERFECT & so so pretty! they were a mix match made in Heaven :)
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty! you would have never known by looking at the two before that something so beautiful would come out of them. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely! Great work.
ReplyDeleteYou have a knack for table transformations! This one is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteYour table turned out fabulous! I love the combination of wood and wrought iron. I have a iron base outdoor table with a glass top that I have been thinking about replacing the glass for wood. You definitely made up my mind with your stunning table re-do!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job! The wood is just lovely. That's a match made in heaven, for sure. Enjoy it.

it turned out beautiful!
ReplyDeletelooks amazing. If you get a chance I would love you to link your table up to More the Merrier Monday. It lasts through Wednesday so you have plenty of time to stop by. See you there. http://diyhshp.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteA hybrid table! Sleek & beautiful!

I DO enjoy stopping by your blog. You show such great projects and so many ideas with such a sense of humor. Lovely table and I thought your birdcage was a marvelous redo.
ReplyDeletebest, nadia
This is so lovely! Great job!
ReplyDeleteOooh, lovely! Way to save both the pieces! I love it. What's the height of the table? It looks lower than a kitchen table but a bit higher than a coffee table? I'm curious. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing transformation!! I love the wood top with the metal legs! :) Thanks so much for linking up to Sassy Sites for our FFA party! Have a FABulous Friday!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO!!

The stained top is gorgeous! What a crafty little mix and match combo. How did you attach it to the legs?
ReplyDeletethat was the perfect solution and it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the wood and iron duo! I have been working on an old wrought coffee table for my son's new house (it will be on his screened porch) and was wondering about using a wood top instead of buying a new glass one. After seeing your table I am going with the wood top. I love that table of yours :)
ReplyDeleteThis turned out fabulous, great marriage! thanks for linking up at VIF, xo Debra
ReplyDeleteWowza!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really great. Really great!
Wow, what a double transformation. Good eye to realize that they would go together so well.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't have made a better match if you had planned it that way! Nice work on the refinish, and it looks perfect on your brickwork!
