SOMETHING TO THIS OLD POTTERY BARN
LAMP THAT I GOT AT A GARAGE SALE
FOR $8.00
FOR $8.00
HERE IT IS...
IM NOT TO CRAZY ABOUT THE
SHADE...
AND THEN THERE IS THIS
OLD OUTSIDE LIGHT THAT I HAD
GOT IN A THRIFT STORE
AND HAD SPRAY PAINTED.
BUT THE INSIDE THAT HOLDS
THE BULBS WAS KINDA FALLING
APART....
SO I THOUGHT WHY NOT
COMBINE THE TWO LIGHTS
TO MAKE ONE THAT I COULD
BE HAPPY WITH.
SO I TOOK OUT THE GUTS OF THE
OLD OUTDOOR LIGHT AND
WIRED IT TO THE POTTER BARN
BASE AND THIS IS WHAT I GOT!
KINDA HARD TO TAKE PICTURES
WITH THE LIGHT BULB ON BUT
YOU GET THE POINT...
AND ONE WITH THE BULB OFF
I USED BLACK PICTURE WIRE TO
WRAP THE SHADE TO THE BASE.
AND FLANKED THE LAMP
WITH AN ESTATE SALE FIND
I LOVE THE LAMP AND THE
VINTAGE FEEL IT NOW HAS.
AND I LOVE THE LIGHT AND
REFLECTIONS IT MAKES.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK
HIT OR MISS?
DO YOU HAVE ANY LAMPS THAT
YOU COULD DO THIS TO?
KEEP THE PAIRING IDEA IN MIND
WHEN THRIFTING!

ReplyDeleteGreat combo! I have what we affectionately call the "lamp graveyard" in my garage. Maybe I could actually move some of those outta there if I'd rework them. Thanks for the inspiration!

Love and yes I have bought from good will two to three and mixed with what I fould to make items....example..minnow buckets to lamps...and the other side of a lamp to a shappy chic. The mix is all part of the fun...think out of the box is a life style...I am a new blogger and curious how you made your Linky PARTY Board. I want to do one on my blog...but honestly a lil computer lacking...
