*STEAMPUNK MY RIDE *

STEAMPUNK:
When victorian-era fantasy design meets technology, it ends in a creative explosion of polished brass and exposed mechanisms known simply as steampunk.

i learned about this the other day as i told my friend about the old typewriter i had bought. she said
why dont i steampunk it. i had never heard of it. this friend of mine is in her early 20's.
so i started looking it up on the
internet and this is what i found.
its very interesting
a beautiful vintage, industrial,
funky, whimsical, technological
artsy look

i found that people are steampunking everything but the
kitchen sink. this was going on
and i had never even heard of it.
they are steampunking
old typewriters

computer keyboards

binoculars

wall clocks

corsettes

eyeware

jewelry

vintage bicycles

motorcycles

footware
art

insects

birds

flash drives

laptop cases

cellphones

fireplaces

halloween

victrola's

monocals

even mickey mouse

 ****
ive seen this style in movies
before such as
the city of lost children
a foreign film
loved it.

looks creepy but it
was a good movie

wild wild west

where was i that i missed out
on this?

there was even a steampunk
exhibit at the history of
science museum...

never knew what it was called.

i love it... and
im wondering what will be
my first steampunking
project...

...PLEASE LADIES DO NOT
STEAMPUNK YOUR PETS !
