PALLET HEAVEN !!!!

HEAVEN I'M IN HEAVEN AND
MY HEART BEATS SO THAT I
CAN BARELY SPEAK...

I NEEDED A TABLE FOR MY
DECK AND WASN'T SEEING
ANYTHING I LIKED SO I DECIDED
TO GO WITH A HIGH COFFEE
TABLE. I HAPPENED TO COME
ACROSS A PALLET CRATE THAT
WAS BEHIND A TILE STORE. JUST
SITTING THERE WAITING FOR ME..
I DECIDED TO CALL THE STORE
AND ASK IF THEY WOULD LET ME
HAVE ONE. AND THEY SAID
YES!!!! I HIT THE JACKPOT!!

SO I BROUGHT IT HOME
AND THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED
LIKE BEFORE...

AT THIS POINT I HAD ALREADY
CUT A GOOD 12 INCHES OFF ALL
THE WAY AROUND AND I ALSO
HAD PUT ON WHEELS. WANTED
TO BE ABLE TO PUSH IT TO
THE SIDE IF I WANTED TO.
I BUILT THE TOP OUT OF 2
REGULAR PALLETS AND MADE IT
SO I COULD LIFT OFF THE
TOP FOR STORAGE.
WITH THE INSIDE BEING SO BIG
I COULD ALSO PUT CANDLES INSIDE
AND HAVE A GLOWING EFFECT
UNDER THE TOP OF THE TABLE, I
ALSO KEPT ON THE METAL STRAP
THAT WAS ON THE CRATE. LOVED IT!

HERE IT IS AFTER...

I LOVE IT! IT WORKS FOR ME SO GREAT. I DON'T HAVE
TO WORRY ABOUT COASTERS AS ITS VERY DURABLE AND
LOVE THE RUSTIC/BEACHY FEEL.

  1. What a score! If only that store knew that people would pay a little for these crates they would have a nice side business going on, hehe. Oh well, better for you! And the makeover you gave this hunk of pallet boards is just gorgeous! Love the stained planked top and its "belt." Slightly jealous right now....gonna go lurk behind some tile stores and cross my fingers.
