I BUILT A NEST....

WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER
THE ARCHIES
WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE COMIC BOOKS . WHEN I CAME ACROSS THIS I COULDNT RESIST BUT PUT MY OWN SPIN ON IT..

EVER FEEL LIKE THIS LADIES!!!

SO TODAY WHEN I WAS LOOKING UP
POTTERY BARN PILLOWS I CAME ACCROSS
THIS..

SO I WANTED TO CREATE MY OWN AND PUT MY OWN
SPIN ON IT..

SO I STARTED WITH THE CANVAS
DROP CLOTH AGAIN WAS A LITTLE
WEIRD AS THE CANVAS FELT DIFFERENT
THIS TIME A LITTLE STIFFER THAN THE
LAST ONE I BOUGHT.

I FOLLOWED MY PREVIOUS INSTRUCTIONS
 AS I HAD DONE IN
THE POST WHEN I DID

THIS TIME I WENT INTO PHOTOSHOP TO
CREATE THE LETTERING..

I WAS HAPPY WITH THIS BUT I WANTED TO
ADD A LITTLE SOMETHING MORE. SO I
MERGED THIS PICTURE ON TOP OF THIS ONE..

I FADED THE PICTURE A LITTLE AND ENDED UP WITH THIS...

SO ONTO THE FINISHED PRODUCT
IM VERY HAPPY WITH
IT AND I AM BECOMING MORE CONFIDENT IN
MY SEWING ABILITIES.I TOOK SOME
BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF IT OUTSIDE
IN THE SNOW HOPE YOU LIKE IT...

AND FOR THE BACK I
SEWED ON A CUTE BUTTON..

HERES THE COMPARISON...

WHATCHA THINK...

  2. Love it, Lauren! Do you have a regular ink jet printer? Do you have problems with strings getting caught? I'd love to try this technique! Looks great! xo

  4. That cartoon is great. I too was MAD on Archie comics as a kid. I just wish I kept them all.
Now on to the pillow - how in the heck do you manage to get the print on there? Are you saying you just put the fabric through the printer? It looks fantastic! I'm going to try it :)

  20. That is very cute. I have noticed some drop cloths are different from others. I always wash mine first. They get softer.
