NUMBERED PILLOW

NUMBERED PILLOW

LET ME START OUT BY SAYING
I DO NOT SEW..
MAYBE A HEM HERE OR THERE
BUT NOTHING ELSE OF SUBSTANCE...
I HAVE 2 PILLOWS THAT WERE
GIVEN TO ME BRAND NEW IN THE
PLASTIC.
BUT THESE ARE EURO SQUARE PILLOWS AND I DONT HAVE ANY COVERS FOR THEM. SO IVE BEEN READING BLOGS LATELY AND ALOT OF WOMEN ARE SEWING THEIR OWN COVERS.I DECIDED THAT I WANTED TO USE THE A CANVAS DROP CLOTH WHICH I BOUGHT AT LOWES FOR $4.97

I LAYED THE PILLOW ON THE MATERIAL
AND BASICALLY FOLDED THE MATERIAL OVER SO IT OVERLAPPED ON THE BACK.I THEN SEWED IT INSIDE OUT ON BOTH ENDS.TURNED IT RIGHT SIDE OUT AND THREW IT IN THE WASH AND DRIED IT AS I HAD MADE IT A LITTLE TO BIG.
THE DRYER SHRUNK IT AND I IRONED IT. I WAS THEN READY TO PUT THE PRINT ON THE FRONT OF THE PILLOW.I DECIDED ON THIS GRAPHIC WHICH I GOT FROM THE INTERNET.
IVE SEEN POTTERY BARN PILLOWS WITH
NUMBERS ON THEM AND I WANTED ONE.
SO IN ORDER TO PUT THIS ONTO MY PILLOW I DIDNT WANT TO DO A TRANSFER. SO I SPRAYED A PIECE OF CARDSTOCK PAPER WITH STENCIL SPRAY AND STUCK THE DROP CLOTH TO THE PAPER AND TRIMED THE CLOTH TO FIT THE PAPER. I THEN PRINTED ON IT FROM MY PRINTER. AND I COULDNT BELIEVE IT, IT WORKED....
I REALLY DIDNT MEASURE OR PIN ANYTHING TOGETHER I JUST WINGED IT AND SEWED THE PILLOW BY EYE. AFTER I PRINTED OUT MY NUMBER I SEWED IT TO THE FRONT OF THE PILLOW AND PUT TIES ON THE BACK OF THE PILLOW TO HOLD IT CLOSED..

SO HERE ARE MY RESULTS...

I LOVE THE WAY IT TURNED OUT AND THE PILLOW IS REALLY SOFT AND HAS A NICE LOOK TO IT.
I CANT WAIT TO MAKE THE OTHER ONE.

FURNITURE REDOS ARE REALLY MY THING BUT I WASNT GOING
TO LET THIS PILLOW BEAT ME...
I KEPT TELLING MYSELF
I CAN DO THIS...

  15. Wow those pillows are great. I would have never thought to use the spray adhesive. I love Pottery Barn, but they are so expensive.
